Breaking the Script
The daily routine is a mask. We play the roles expected of us—the employee, the citizen, the “average” person. But a photo session is a deliberate break from that order. It is an “out of the routine” event designed to disrupt your standard self-perception. In this space, the rules of the everyday don’t apply, allowing the curtain to slide back.
In psychology, this is called externalization: taking an inner idea, fantasy, or tension, and making it visible, tangible. To be captured in an image that is not casual, not accidental, but intentional, is an act of authorship to claim your form, your allure, your secret currents — and discover new ones in the process.
The Camera as an Observer
The lens acts as a neutral observer that permits you to be bold. Because we are creating a scenario—an “Alter-Ego”—you are granted the freedom to step outside your comfort zone. I use the session as a psychological laboratory to help you explore facets you usually keep tucked away.
